Somehow the theater by my house had shows tonight and I got to catch it at 10:15 instead of midnight.

And it's pretty freakin awesome. If you like Star Trek, you should really like this movie.

Oh man it's out already? I saw the preview for it when I went out and saw the Wolverine movie and it looked pretty rad. It looks like a refreshing change up from the snore fest that was Star Trek: Insurrection. I thought First Contact was pretty cool though.

Saw it last night too and thought it was incredible. I agree with you guys on the first 10 mins...very dramatic. Hopefully Paramount decides to greenlight more...but only if Abrams is still attached.

i really enjoyed this movie. i thought it was great, it was funny but not cheesy. and i thought Zachary Quinto was a great spock

Yeah I like use of the iconic phrases "dammit spock I'm a doctor not a physicist." And also the awesome "I'm giving 'er all she's got captain!". Very appropriate.

that's cool cause this phrase was never spoken by kirk in any of the television show or movies. i just learned this the other day. it's up there with "Luke, I am your father" which Vader never said either.

Iiiiinteresting. I never knew those things, but then I'm not a huge fan of either franchise.
