Just thought I'd break the news to everyone here before I tell my family.

We eloped to New Orleans with my brother Brent and her best friend. Later today we're going to my grandparent's and letting everyone there know.

I got The Husband a tungsten carbide band for our Friday 13th wedding.... titanium and tungsten rings are beautiful and more durable. We're looking to replace my white gold band with a tungsten carbide or titanium for our first anniversary.

White gold is beautiful, don't get me wrong. But I work in an auto body/service shop (not to mention I'm clumsy as hell) and my rings are already pretty scratched up. My set is simple and beautiful to me, but not having that luster anymore just 2 months later makes me kinna depressed...

(not to mention I got his ring on clearance for only $56 on titaniumkay.com)

That's exactly why I wanted Titanium or tungsten, but price kept us on titanium.

I like the scratched up look. If it looks shiny and new all the time, it looks like you don't ever do anything!
