When Shadows Burn

When shadows burn in darkness
Death becomes nameless
Those that were entwined
become sinfully maligned
Lunar light’s been sealed
Never again to be revealed
All for greeds sake
But how much can you take
How much can we endure
Before we find the right cure
Treat us like prey
Then scream for us to obey
Level our town
And break us down
So we become hollow
With no choice but to follow
Who is willing to stand
And become the firebrand
Gods hear our cries
From blood teared eyes

our future with the way our politics and big business is going.

I saw this video right after writing this and i think it goes along well with the poem. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbNIU2KEz4g

the war has nothing to do with me. I didn't vote for it. I didn't ok it. I stand up and yell fuck this war to congress. However, I do respect our soldiers that are willing to die for this country.

The poem was written as an examination of how government and business is becoming more and more visable as they control us and how far will they push us before finally someone stands up and pulls the rest with them and we can get back to being free.

if you want it broke down line by line for what I ment I can take it to pm with you and break down the thing piece by piece on how i wrote what each line means and what it means on the whole

I like what our government originally was. what our forefathers made. I do not like todays government. This country was built on certain ideals and gave its people certain rights and every day I wake up with less rights then I had the day before. Thats what this is about. I love my country, but I also believe if you don't stand up show them what you want it to be they'll pervert it. I see us repeating history and slowly becoming like nazi germany. Thats what this poem is about. Thats why I feel this way. Then again i grew up a hippie so who knows. I still believe in protest and writting congress and sit ins and boycotts. The problem is americans as a whole have gotten lazy and complacent.

Sadly most of America will just keep redrawing a line in the sand.. over.. and over.. Rolling over and rolling over. Letting freedoms be taken away, but its for the best the government says so

Sadly Americans don't get this country was put in place for the people and by the people. Not for the corporations and by the politicians.

Our forefathers signed a certain death sentence when they signed the Declaration of Independence and put ideas into place to insure the PEOPLE would always be in control of there own lives. But alas Americans became lazy. They don't care. Let the government do it for them... BIG MISTAKE!
