So sad to miss this, at one point I wrote chuck a fan mail and he signed my copies of Fight Club(book and DVD), Survivor, Invisible Monsters,and Choke (that was all he had out at the time). He also sent me a little stuffed "power animal" (turtle) and made me a pretty nice necklace with my name on it.

Well about a year or so ago my signed copy of fight club (Book) got stolen and I would have loved to gotten it replaced :( Unfortunately I'll be in chicago when this goes down

Really bummed that I missed this. I'm retarded. For some reason I was assuming this was at the Dunwoody campus. And Annatrocity. That's interesting about your signed Fight Club book getting stolen. My signed copy of Fear of Dreaming by Jim Carroll was stolen. Ironically, it was my ex roommate who was hooked on heroin.

Man. This was my first booksigning/author "tour", so I really didn't know what to expect going in to this. I have to say that this was one of the best afternoons I've had in a while. It took us driving around Decatur for a good hour trying to find exactly where it was and I was starting to get worried that we might not have made it in time to get our books signed (he was only signing the first 150 people that got there). After about an hour in line we got our stubs for the signing, but Chuck wasn't signing any after 40 until after he spoke.

So we wound up sitting in the auditorium for about an hour and a half (Hungry as hell cause we hadn't eaten yet mind you) waiting for him to come and speak. Bout 7 they rolled a vid for GPC (and a LOT of people were blasting it. Including me. Lots of lulz to be had). Then finally Chuck came out and spoke.

What an experience... He's just as funny and dead-pan as I assumed he was. He threw out novelty blow-up dolls (as well as bookmarks with anal beads attached to them... ANAL BEADS FTW!!! LOL). Made a contest (That my friend won) of blowing up the dolls first. I'm pretty sure there will be pics and youtube vids soon. Then he read a short story he wrote that probably won't be published and answered some questions from the audience. Surprisingly one of the questions he answered was the one I wanted to ask him... Which Character of his is he most like. Stating Denny (From Choke) as his favorite due to him being an idiot savant. We then got a nice trailer for the Choke movie soon to be released (hopefully). Then another blow up doll contest and then it was on to the rest of the book signing.

As my friends and I were waiting in line for our signing extremely random shit happened. All hilarious. And too time consuming to type out, just know that Chuck and his fans are of razor-sharp wit (At one point while in the auditorium one guy behind us was talking to his wife on the phone and told her, "Yeah. We got anal beads. Honest to god, 'shove them up your ass' anal beads." PRICELESS.)

So my friend Sanchez got up there (He's the one that won the blow-up contest) and he and Chuck took a picture of Chuck's and his blow-up dolls... Fighting. He gets up there and Chuck's like, "Make them fight." Then my other buddy gets up there and more silliness ensues. I get up there and I have my work shirt on with a Fight Club patch pinned to my shirt pocket. Chuck asks me what it is and I tell him I wore it to work today, adding that I took the night off liberally and that I told the management that I WOULD NOT be at work tonight. I told him I wore it and damn the consequences... In not exactly those words. I have a really nice pic with Chuck and his blow-up doll. I shall be posting it within the next few days...

So... In the bible I have written:

With fake blood on it for effect. :thumbsup:

AND

In Snuff:

So now I have a smile on my face, a new book with funny shit written in it and anal beads marking the page I'm on.

He was reading a short story that was published in playboy years ago at signings. People would get sick during it and leave hahaha!

The short story he read is called "Loser." It's basically the Price is Right on acid. Pretty funny stuff. The story that made people sick was called "Guts" and it was published in Playboy.
