Well, we're now the proud owners of a 200 acre ranch in trust in Stevinson, but we're looking slightly more towards Morrow Bay. Im driving out there Wednesday and spending 2 weeks out there to look around. My mom is making about 75k and Im only at about 50k, so I dont know what or where we can get yet, plus Ive applied to a few schools out there that have an MBA/JD double major, so thats a factor too.

I've lived in GA several times since the early '90s and i'm always surprised by the level of snobbery i've encountered everytime i've lived there. I'm living in Fayetteville, NC right now which is supposed to be the 3rd worst city in the U.S. to live in, but at least people are friendly. Maybe it's because everyone here is from some place else (because of FT. Bragg) but you can strike up a conversation with anybody anywhere and people are usually just as nice as can be. Strangers will stop and help in a heartbeat if you need assistance with car trouble, carrying stuff, whatever. The first time I moved to GA, I thought the south was all the same, boy was I wrong. When I tried to talk to people in line at the grocery store, they acted like I just raped their dog. When I seemed a little too comfortable in my environment, I was actually asked, "Who are your people?". wtf kind of question is that? and who the hell are you, Scarlett O'Hara?
Let it be known, i've met a lot of fabulous people in GA, Black Lotus being one of them. But i'm appalled at how obsessed people there seem to be with wearing the right clothing labels, spending way too much on manicures, pedicures and getting hair done, and who you're seen talking to. It's dumb...and it's just not Buckhead fucktards, it's people in our own scene. I've gone down there many times and gone to parties and introduced myself by my real name only to be snubbed and ignored, but the second I've mentioned who I am on this message board, people are happy to meet me...and that's just regodamndiculous.

i dunno, finding people you are better than seems to be an attitude synonymous with being human. those that have, look down upon those who have not, while those without look down upon those with, simply b/c they can't understand what it's like not to have. instead of enjoying one another's company for the person they are, we would rather feel superior to them b/c of their lack of proper morals, clothes, ethnicity, ethics, attitude, beliefs, ideals or whatever. we can be "appalled at their level of snobbery" even while projecting the same attitude towards them simply b/c they forgot to follow our ideas of proper behavior.
no, people in buckhead are generally condescending towards those they deem "don't belong" but disliking them simply for an attitude they have is no better. Be kind towards people not because they deserve your kindness, but because despite all of our own failings, misdeeds and mistakes, we still ask others to treat us with that same kindness.

I know!!! we should just stop all this bullshit class division, and start to bring up the middle class!
We shouldn't have to let those rich fuckers do what they want while we do jobs and dont get paid what we deserve!!
It's just fucked up that people can make so much money, and we can't. I'm tired of it, why do they need that much money? Why can't we just spread some of that wealth around?? What's so wrong with capping how much money people can make at say 10 million? Everything after that gets passed back to the bottom of the country! We could all have a better life, we'd all get a chance to be rich, not just those people that hoard all their money, and never spend it, and never shop for goods, or services, and just sit in small houses with nothing in them, made by no one, and just hoard hoard hoard. Those fuckers. I bet they don't go out to eat, buy cars, insurance, have people manage their funds, invest in companies, pay staff, or any of that... what jerks. Why can't we just set an acceptable standard of living, and allow us all to do that? This whole personal success thing is crap, I think that if all of us share, then we all do well together! It just isn't fair that some people have more than others, they shouldn't be allowed.
