I have a few friends that are members and have asked if I wanted to join. And its just like in the movies where you actually can watch or join in sexual acts with other individuals. I've never been nor do I want to go. I keep sex between me and my sigificant other. There's also different rooms where you can do voyuer, fetish, or just plain old gang bang. If your really interested you know the memberships arent cheap either. You can either try Trapeze or Club Risque. Its $50 for a membership but its a private club so you wouldnt have to worry about the popo coming in and shutting it down.

I did a research paper for a human sexuality class I took a few semesters ago on "the spectrum of human sexual behavior". I just thought it was very interesting. Here's the abstract from my research paper....

My manager in Tampa was a swinger. Him and his wife used to go to a club called Taboo. They always tried to get me to go, but I was young then and scared. Anyway, I guess that one must have been pretty hard-core b/c in the upstairs part they had nothing but mattresses filling the floor, so that couples could switch off. Sounds like a big oragy to me. I dunno if all of them are like this, but I do know that the swinger crowds loves to *share*. :)

Here Here Puddin, well said - Why shouldn't we be open to explore! I imagine I'd be standing there with you, bright eyed like a little child. Sex has always been a sacred act of love for me, but I can appreciate the concept of free love and expression. What better place than a swingers club to explore those ideals. Maybe it's just me, but I've yet to find a woman (that I'm attracted to) to share a friendly physical relationship with. Emotions always seems to take the best of the relationship.

It's a great movie, some parts you've got to really pay close attention since most of the characters speak in brittish slang.

well i've spent so many nights at the chamber and other places that alot of sexual tension. I guess I'm so used to it, i dont look at it that way anymore. hey wanna hangout with sara and I at the chamber saturday night?That's just the point. At a "lifestyle" club, it's not sexual tension. Nobody's self-conscious or worried about ... SEX. It's not people getting sweaty all over the place ... and contrary to (even my own previous) beliefs ... it's not a bunch of older people you wouldn't want to see in the buff. Alot of the people who come to 2Risque (most in fact) are in their 20's, early 30's. I've seen more exotic dancer looking girls ... and dark/handsome guys at 2Risque than I ever would've thought.

There is generally plenty of nudity. It's been my experience ... girls just enjoy being naked ... maybe without just a top, or whatever ... but .. just because a girl is dancing without a top on the dancefloor, it's not a big deal. Boundaries .. and what "is acceptable" vs. what's "not acceptable" is so different at these types of establishments. There is alot of "sexual play" and fun that happens at these clubs.. but it's mostly just play. And ... (generally in private areas of the club .. or voyeur rooms).. there's a small amount of heavy sexual activity. But, it's whatever you want it to be. It's been my experience, that it's just more of a laid back vibe, everyone so friendly and cool (respectful) to everyone. THEY LOVE EDM THERE FOR SURE! Honestly, most of the people are fully clothed, however scantily that may be, but no different than you'd see in mid-town or buckhead.

Just so you folks know too ... we've been going to bat for the late-night community with the club .. and have convinced them to lower the fee to $10 for the late-nighters @ 2Risque on Saturdays, but you have to mention Dj REL1 @ the door for the reduced rate. The reason it was a tough sell, is because these clubs don't sell alcohol (b.y.o.b.), so all their money is made @ the door. And, 'swinger activities' don't stop just because the late-night begins @ 3 am. Some of the regular members (who also sit on the board) didn't like the idea of regular members having to pay more for regular entry ... and late-nighters getting in for cheaper .. and still enjoying pretty much all the same svcs. Plus, they want to keep any bad seeds (negative element) out of the club, namely young single guys who may not be as respectful and adult as they would need to be to hang in a place like this.

With the cheaper rates ... anyone who's not scared of just a little nudity (trust me, you usually won't mind when you see the clientele) ... should check it out. It's not what you think I bet. And, there's some really good music & guest djs performing weekly for the late-night. While Jesse & I are away at wmc this week, Dj's Flip & Eric Zebedee from Abstract Logic & NuVibe are going to be holding it down at the afterparty for us, with a possible set by Satellite's Greg Adamson. There's no way it will be as jumping as it was last weekend (with conference and all), but still a good week to give it a whirl i suppose. The best weekend to attend for maximum shockability though (for those who are interested) is the last Saturday of every month (last wknd).

I went to a swingers club when I was in Key West. Hell if I can remember the name of it, it drives me insane that I forgot it. Anyways, my best friend Kristen ditched me while we were out partying and went back to our hotel and went to sleep so I was left to wander the streets of Key West ALONE. When it started getting really late and all the other clubs closed I found the only after hours club there was and there were ALOT of people there. Sat around, met a few people and talked to the Canadian guy with dreads who was trying to get me to go in one of these curtained off "rooms." UGH. I don't even think I realized it was a swingers club at first, I think someone had to tell me (the after hours thing wasn't the 'time' for swingers or anything, but that's what the club was primarily used for.) I think I REALLY realized it when some girl was walking around butt ass naked. Crazy night, it felt just like it was out of a movie.

The next day we were packing to leave (it was me, Kristen, her dad Danny and his girlfriend Katy) and I was telling Kristen and Katy about the night before. Katy flipped out and said that her and Danny had heard about the club and they had tried to find it. Uhhh, yeah! I don't think they were REALLY interested in the swinging aspect, I just think they heard some hype about it and wanted to check it out. It was funny at the time because Kristen & I were fairly young...well, younger than I am now. :)

not that i have ever been to any when I lived in LA but the first time I went to one in Burbank I thought I would be nervous but it was actually really fun and comfortable.

As for protocol. Don't stare like a stalker. Be polite. You can actually carry on conversations and not think about fucking. Of course you can be talking with someone about whatever and all of a sudden she'll invite you to go into another room to bang her. Bring condoms & lube of course, esp if you have a preferred brand. You are looked down a bit if you are a single male so bring your freaky female friend along, even if she doesn't want to participate. (PS you'll save alot on admission!) Don't touch anyone or join in without permission and don't ask twice or push the issue. They are there to have fun too, not to be harassed. I've seen some women go there totally freak out and pull a train and let anyone in. In that case conversation isn't a priority, but for most women there... just try to picture yourself clothed , talking to someone at a house party. Stay in that state of mind and you'll be ok. Hell talk with the guys too, try not to focus on fucking and you'll fit right in. If you see a couple you'd like to swap out with, just have your date initiate contact.

I went to one recentley for the first time. All I have to say is that you have to be REALLY OPEN MINDED! And REALLY SECURE with your partner. I didn't even know places like that really existed. I just thought that was stuff you only saw in a movie. I had FUN though!! A little alcohol will go a long way. No swinging for my partner and I, but we found a little exibitionism to be quite fun.

Jesse Brewer (r.e.l.1) is definately one of my favorite breaks dj's/turntablists not only in atlanta, but in the whole fucking world...he has been a resident dj at 2 Risque for some time now, and is running an afterhours breaks night there on saturdays. it is only $20 at the door, and they will let you in for $10 if you say Jesse Brewer or r.e.l.1 sent you. you do have to be 21+ with ID and will have to fill out some paperwork the first time. there is porn playing on all the tv's and you'll see (or engage in some) freaky shit if you're lucky, but mostly it's a really cool place to hang out and hear some of the BEST music in atlanta. it is BYOB meaning buy some liquor or beer before it's sunday, mixers are free, just tip the bartenders.

Club Kink in south florida is a BDSM club on Friday nights. (I dont remember the real name of the club the rest of the week, when its still swingers, but a little tame.)

It's something else. But if you're in a relationship, you have to be very secure and open about this kind of thing with your partner. Or stuff like this can really mess you up.
