a Thought Occurred to me...

on the long 14 hour bus ride down to the lovely city of Atlanta a funny thought occurred to me...

America controls the sale of Iraqi oil to pay our companies to help reconstruct the parts of Iraq that our military demolished to help free Iraqi oil... i mean citizens....

and one of the contracts went to a company that VP Cheney sits on the board of and receives a nice paycheck from... but he states that had no bearing in the awarding of the contract...

He only sits on the board as an honoary member of a company he used to be employed by! Secondly, hes the Vice President and he certainly isint reciving a paycheck from anyone but us, the tax payer.

Which company would that be? Halliburton? If this is what you're talking about (the only company in Iraq that I know of that has Cheney connections), then I do not understand your position. Halliburton is a firefighting company whose mission is to put out the oil well fires. There are very few (if any) wells still ablaze, and when they are put out, the company's done. They have nothing to do with the sale of the oil. Also, Halliburton was chosen because it is the most capable at such a task, not necessarily because of Cheney. If you're speaking of a different company, I take the above back, but if not, you're arguing a very mute, inconsequential point...
