haha, hell ya man i made a thread about this a couple weeks ago. that shit is crazy frustrating isn't it. the scratch i had was luckfully close to the end, i didn't notice it cuz its completely invisible. and i dont got time to listen to all the records i buy from the store thru & thru. i wish i could help u but i dont kno of any way to fix scratched vinyl other then udjusting the weight on the needle (if the scratch isn't too bad)

you can do a burn-though..
i haven't done one of those (no need to yet), but what i gather is what you heat up the stylus and run it over the area with the scrats, so it etches the groove right through the scratch's ridges.. hope that makse sense..

1. wut do you use to heat it up?
2. that wont fuck up the stylus at all? better yet the record as well?
Scratches in records are impossible to get rid off. What I would do is work on it during post production. There are several tools that can help repair pops and clicks. There are also some awesome vinyl hiss reduction programs that can take annoying hiss our of old/dirity records.
