Anywho, todays lesson will be on those wholesome lovable characters, the kids who make us Jump for joy (or fear)...THE MENTALLY DISEASED.

What exactly are we refering to you may ask? Well let me explain. This is before us a gathering place of youth, random people from all walks of life (granted the gwinnett county teenage horror is more abundant than most) meet here and discuss life. Now if one may assume that in life there is a percentage of humyns which are afflicted by certain "mental ailments" and the like. You know: schizophrenia, severe bipolarity coupled with a acute sense of TOTAL VAPIDITY AND SHALLOWNESS, underlying homicidal rages and a tendency to start fires.
I mean lets face it, we meet people here and call them our "best party freind" after know them for 2 fucking weeks without ever actually taking the time to observe them for years from a dettached perspective and pick out every little fault they have like all good freinds in the REAL WORLD do. I ask you, havent there been times in your fleeting youth, when not actually having met a person you judge them over time and see how they realy are? Maybe a kid in your science class who youve never talked to but seen for years and have determined through his actions that he is "one fucking insane loser"but at first looked cool. You wouldnt want said person as a freind now would you? Well in the party "scene" we have to admit to ourselves what exactly we are attracting to this site: people who enjoy dance music and dance music culture, people who like believe they are underground and hardcore, people who do drugs, etc etc. Keeping in mind all is not one in the same, and the same is not always the one, although the devils advocate says that it very well could be. One may never know.
Well one would be pleased to know that it has been found that 3/4 of all party "kids" suffer from some sort of mental fuckup. Maybe your homicidal, maybe your just a stupid tramp, I dunno, but this means the kid you dont know very well but all the sudden meet at a party and have some religious experience with, then becomes your best goddamn freind in da whole fuckin world within a week, could very well be a deranged psychopath. Keep this in mind when he or she start having out of nowhere "body ticks" and not so nice thoughts about your family pet.
This is ole messy here with a warning maybe that kid you think is a fearless druggie wonder now was actually a young version of Eddie Monroe. Feeding time Eddie! In an effort to conceal their son's hideously misshapen face and slightly askew views on living and dying, Eddie's parents strapped a feed bucket over his head. Hopefully one day he'll suffocate in that thing. I'd take it off and beat him to death with it, but then I'd have to look at him.

Your observation of most ravers having mental "fuck ups" is beyond true. But lets dig deeper than that as to WHY their's is such a large congregation of fucking idiots.

Raving's popularity has only just now became known in a household name-type fashion. The marketing of the "scene" was very slow, progressive, and incredibly well thought out. It was not an overnight thing. One day, people are oblivious, then they become curious, then they accept and conform. 90% of you all on this board have not been into "the scene" as long as you tell your brand new 2 week old best buddy. Most of you will get defensive over seniority, I personally cant give a rat's ass about who has been in the scene longer.

Which brings me to:

The reason they people get into this scene is because they do not fit in any other. Because of their "vapidity and shallowness", they are rejected from other scenes, groups and genres. The scene seems very overwhelming and cool at first. So many people and styles, all joined together for peace and unity under one roof, for a night of dancing and spritual healing.

Please, get out of the fucking fantasy world. Grow the fuck up.

The Truth, for those who are sucked into this trap:

1. Dj's are not rock stars. It is just like playing your radio at home. However you tell him/her they have good taste in what they play, but classical pianist they are not. They dont have "skillz". Anyone can learn to match two beats together, and most Dj's will even tell you that.

2. 75% of the people you meet, throughout your life, are trying to screw you. Im not jaded, but that is a fact. The rave scene is no different. Dont trust anyone you have been around for two weeks just because you have "issues" and need acceptance and friends.

3. We as a race, as a species, will never live in peace and harmony. It is nature's way..the alpha male..blah blah. Its the people that portray an image of being unbiased and all for unity that you have to watch out for. Their guilt makes them banner what a good person they are, because in reality, they are not. See (2.) for added reference. You want to deny that? You dont want to be catergorized as an animalistic being that runs solely on instinct? Then get out of the herd mentality. Strive to be different, that way you can be a loser and type rants and try to enlighten others also.


4. They social background of most people i have met at raves goes like this:

Im not anti-rave. Go and have fun, but do not center your life around it. Dont throw away your rock and rap and metal albums just because you rave now. Be diverse, be open-minded, be all those things you claim to be when you are trying to impress others. Do not play into someone else's marketing sheme that probably laughs at you everyday for paying out the ass just to be cool. Or maybe you should, ignorance is bliss. Bliss is happiness.

that is said by most artists...anyone can learn to do anything...the difference is that some people are great at it and others are just ok. the ones that are great, innovative, and inspired are the ones that become famous. If it was like playing your radio at home then why dont you? If anyone could do it?....then why dont you. I used to think that it couldnt be all that hard, untill i had someone sit me down one day and show me all the work that goes into it, you almost use each individual beat in each record as your own string, and a truly talented DJ will manipulate those beats to form something that sounds great...much as a pianist would hit the correct notes on a piano...so your right, anyone can DJ, and anyone can play a piano, only difference is that you wont pay to see someone play chopstix 20 times, but seeing a claissical preformance of motzart makes alot of sense

that is bullshit, if you can spin then you should know that it takes hours upon hours upon hours to learn to match beats. And, even then yah got more work to do. Cause yah still cant mix,scratch,beat juggle,cut, sample or any other mixer tricks,or turntablism "skillz" and I'm just talking mechanics here....you're right we're not rock stars we don't get raised from birth to do this...most of to start have noone to promote us, we do it ourselves...it takes a lot to be a Dj.....a fucking hell of a lot more than it takes to "spin records".......

p.s. you wana talk about being a musician.....I played violin in the kindergarden and 1st..nothin untll 4th grade but then picked up the viola still play that currently...I can play cello, bass(orchestral) as well..oh yea re-taught myself the violin too...can play guitar well enough, not to metion drums too with a touch of piano.....I didn't graduate on time because I wouldn't give up orchestra...

I should have specified, but the dj's i was critisizing are the ones that spin a track, mix in another and so on...all night. People like mixmaster mike or liam howlett from the prodigy are a different story, thats creativity. Thats admirable.
you go to the party scene now though, and you dont see that kind of thing, just basic mixing and fucking with the EQ, not to mention the great effects you can use with a pioneer 500 mixer, thats lame. Not to mention they usually only spin one type of music. The best dj's i have seen can mix hard house to trance to dnb to punk rock, isnt that more interesting than just spinning one type of music all night long?
